Early morning gym is such a pain till I get there! But yes this is one place where thirsty souls like me (no puns here…I mean thirsty for interesting observations) find a lot of spice. Today morning was no exception…
“One more.. .one more... one more… arey sir 20 toh karo” says Sudhir Sir in his deep husky voice. Huh…huh…huh…went the tough guy on his tread mill, for a second I thought he could win the Olympics with this speed – 14…now that’s wow! Kitna dalu sir? Pandhra ya bees? (Weights he meant, I presume :P)Said the Shorty with muscles so heavy that he could compete with Arnold Schwarzenegger soon…heavy weights, six pack dreams, too much of sweat and shitty music is a regular sight of my GYM…the place where I say my au revoirs and bonjours to my flabs quite regularly.
Anyways, while the regular chores of workouts were on something happened!
The TV which does it for a music player started singing a retro no and then came “Aurat jo hai na rainbow ki taraha hoti hai…jitney raang utne roop…kisiko lagti hai lottery ki tarah...lag gait oh kismet badal jati hai…kisiko hoti hai mohobat ki tarah…ho gai toh jaan atak jati hai…muze toh chadhi zeher ki tarah ki abb pani bhi piu toh aag lag jati hai… haan ahhhhh” thadd… drops the 50 KG dumbbell from the Shorty’s hand (50 is an exaggeration) No points for guessing guys…yes it is the dirty picture! (Remember that my blog is all about PUNs!)
The point of the matter is that the very moment this video ended the rock still gym went back to what it was – busy in oneself kind of a place can we say sex still sells? If yes does it always sell? If not then where does it sell? And who is the target audience? Is male as a TG for sex based communication an example of marketing myopia? These are all the questions that struck my mind while I continued to pretend being busy doing my abs (for two reasons I wanted to observe these bunch of males unaware and two I dint want them to think I was different…LOLz)
P.S: Answers to any or all the questions are most welcome...come on guys!
